Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, the Rotary Club of Blue Bell, and Montgomery County Community College will continue their long tradition of promoting healthy living when they host the 14th annual Montgomery County Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 22, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. 

 

The free event takes place in the Physical Education Center at Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA (use Cathcart Road entrance), and includes health screenings, educational information, wellness activities and giveaways.  

 

Health Checks conducted by healthcare professionals from Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and feature reduced-cost blood tests.  Health Checks are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and pre-registration is encouraged.  To reserve your time slot, go to advance.einstein.edu or call 484-622-0200   Please note that a 12-hour fasting is required for blood tests.  Health Checks include:

  • 26-Panel Blood Screening - $39. Screen for anemia/white blood cell count, liver/kidney function, cholesterol levels and more. Follow-up results and analysis are mailed directly to participants’ homes.  (This is a $200 value).  
  • Ultra C-Reactive Protein (CRP) & Homocysteine Test: $39 - Two tests for heart disease. 
  • PSA (Prostate -Specific Antigen) test for men $29.  

** Payment is made at the time of the Health Check.  Cash, credit card (Master Card, Visa, American Express) or personal check are accepted.

In addition to Health Checks, a variety of free screenings and demonstrations are offered by Einstein Montgomery healthcare professionals, including: blood pressure, blood sugar, body fat, bone density, breast health, colon cancer, hearing, pulmonary function, skin cancer, vision assessments, and more.  There will be free Affordable Care Act educational sessions provided by the Personal Navigator Program of VNA-Community Services, Inc.
